Gemma is daughter to Paul and wife to Adam Sizer.
Gemma started her career with an honours degree in Equine Science from Hartpury College followed immediately by her PGCE (FE/HE) in order to become a lecturer in Equine and Animal Science at Coleg Sir Gar. Gemma lectured part time for 5 years but with no full time posts available made the decision to leave in favour of full time work, having now got engaged to Adam they were looking to buy a house and settle down together.
Gemma was offered a job in Angel Chambers where was trained up and became the criminal clerk for the next 4yrs. As a clerk Gemma built on her skills from lecturing in organisation and people management and indeed was highly praised for her work, but ultimately it was an area that Gemma could not see herself remaining in long term.
It was decided that ESP could be a fantastic family run business, so in November 2014 Gemma joined as Business Manager. Gemma will be putting her skills to use running the office and organising the incoming job calendar as well as taking over the company’s marketing and training up for site work to become a useful pair of hands when the need arises. Gemma’s teaching qualification and lecturing experience are put to use in our Awareness Training courses. Qualifications to date are BOHS P402 Asbestos Surveyor, P900 & P901 Legionella Risk Assessor and Qualitative Mask Face Fit tester.
Gemma is dedicated and committed in all areas of work and brings that with her to ESP where she, Adam and Paul all put huge effort into ensuring the whole office shares these qualities. The trio are a lead by example group who firmly believe they must also put the hours in to gain qualifications and on the job experience to be best placed to hands on train, mentor and support new and current staff members.
